I live on a 60 acre farm in North eastern Colorado about 10 miles East of the City of Greeley. My involvement with Border Collies started with the purchase of a pup for my daughter in 1982 and has escalated to the National level of competition along with numerous trips to the United Kingdom in search of both dogs and handling/training/judging knowledge.
•Formed the Mountain & Plains Border Collie Association.
•Served as Director of The American Border Collie Association, Inc.
•Served as Director, Vice President, then President of the United States Border Collie Handlers Association (USBCHA) from 1990 -1996.
•Qualified for the USBCHA National Finals every year from 1989 through 1997 travelling to compete in the Finals 7 times. Advancing to the Top 20 final round in 5 of 7 appearances.
•Functioned as Stock Dog Superintendent of the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo from 1995 until present.
Family health issues have limited my involvement in the competitive aspect of the Border Collie world for the past few years. With that period behind me I now look forward to a productive Field Trial season beginning with the Spring Trials in 2005 with fresh young dogs.
